Annually, L'Oréal mobilizes its employees for Citizen Day, a day-long volunteering event reflecting its conviction that everyone has a role to play.
Every year since 2010, L'Oréal employees have devoted an entire working day to offering their skills and energy to several hundred non-profits in social and environmental areas.
Examples of endeavors have included cleaning up natural sites, running well-being workshops for people in vulnerable situations, repainting centres that welcome elderly or disadvantaed people, or helping job seekers draft a resume.
More employees have joined the initiative every year for the last ten years. In 2018, with nearly 30,000 employee participants, L’Oréal Citizen Day supported 855 organisations in 63 countries. The event embodies the Group’s commitment to CSR throughout its value chain, and through the commitment of its employees, to contribute positively to the ecosystems and communities in which it operates.
In 2019, L’Oréal USA employees worked with 190 local charitable organizations across 11 states including New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Washington, Arkansas, Texas, Minnesota, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky and California.
