L’Oréal USA’s national Volunteer Day took place on June 14. Over 3,000 employees participated across the country donating over 12,000 hours of community service to the local communities in which we live and work. From North Little Rock, Arkansas to Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, L’Oréal USA employees participated in a variety of volunteer projects including children’s education, resume building with unemployed adults, environmental revitalization, arts and crafts with seniors, food preparation and serving those who are homebound, among many other projects.
L’Oréal USA employees understand the importance of volunteerism and are very proud of what was accomplished during our national day of service. This year 1,749 children were read to, over 500 seniors were helped, 9,352 meals were prepared for the hungry, 40 parks and community centers were revitalized and 837 animals were either walked or had their cages cleaned.
Employees documented the day on Twitter and Instagram using the #LOrealGivesBack. Thousands of photos and tweets streamed live throughout the day with over 47,951 twitter accounts reached resulting in 232,290 impressions and over 500 photos loaded on Instagram.
L’Oréal USA also offers employees additional time to volunteer throughout the year for a personal cause. As a company we believe it is our responsibility to share our creativity and talents with those less fortunate. As a L’Oréal community we are working to make the world a more beautiful place for all.
