Frédéric Rozé, President & CEO, L'Oréal USA

Frédéric Rozé assumed the position of President & Chief Executive Officer of L’Oréal USA on July 1, 2009.

Mr. Rozé has been with the L’Oréal Group for 27 years having joined the Company in 1986 in France where he began his career in the Marketing Department of the Consumer Products Division. In 1988 he was promoted to Group Product Manager for L’Oréal Paris and subsequently went on to hold various marketing positions for the Group’s other Consumer Products brands including Garnier. Following that, Mr. Rozé served as Managing Director of the Consumer Products Division of L’Oréal Russia before being appointed to the post of General Manager of Gemey France in 1996.

Mr. Rozé was then named Managing Director of L’Oréal Argentina where he had responsibility for the subsidiary’s extensive portfolio of brands covering all divisions. In 2002 he was promoted to General Manager of both the Consumer Products and Professional Products Divisions for L’Oréal Spain, one of the Company’s most important markets. During his tenure there, L’Oréal experienced significant market share gain in several categories. In 2004 Mr. Rozé was appointed General Manager of the Consumer Products Division for Western Europe before being given responsibility for the entire European Region including Eastern countries.

Born and educated in France, Mr. Rozé is a graduate of Hautes Etudes Commerciales, Paris (HEC) and l’Université Paris-Dauphine.

Eric Bone, Senior Vice President, Research & Innovation

Eric Bone graduated in 1990 from the National Graduate School of Chemistry of Paris (E.N.S.C.P) with a Master degree in Electrochemistry and Analytical Chemistry from University Paris V. He started in the industry as a research trainee in SHISEIDO K.K. in Japan on cosmeceutical applications.

Soon after, he joined L’OREAL Japan R&D as a research scientist where he created the first International R&D Scientific Intelligence Department. In 1992, Mr. Bone returned to Paris as a R&D Development Scientist in Hair Color at L’OREAL International Laboratories.

In 1995 he went back to Japan as General Manager of the Hair Care Labs where he spent 4 years and was then appointed for a short period RAD Liaison Officer in US to help integration of Soft Sheen and Carson.

He then returned to France as Head of the Hair Color Labs and became General Manager of worldwide Hair Color laboratories in 2002.

In 2005 he took a new assignment in Japan as Vice-President Research and Development of L’OREAL Japan, General Manager of R&D laboratories and activities where he developed a strong scientific team of Japanese and International Managers.

Mr. Bone came to the US in 2008 as Vice President of Development of R&D for Skincare, Haircare, Haircolor, Color Cosmetics and Fragrance. In February 2009, he was promoted to Vice President of L’Oréal USA Research & Development.

In December 2011, Mr. Bone was promoted to Senior Vice President, Research and Innovation.

Roger Dolden, EVP, Business Development

Roger Dolden was appointed Executive Vice President of Business Development of L'Oréal USA in April 2007.

A native of London, England, Mr. Dolden's extensive international career includes positions with KPMG auditing and tax in London, New York and Barcelona, and with Colgate-Palmolive in the U.S. and Tokyo.

After leaving Colgate, Mr. Dolden joined Helena Rubinstein International. In 1984, he joined L'Oréal USA. His responsibilities include Finance, Information Technology, Corporate and New Media, Legal and Acquisitions.

Mr. Dolden received his undergraduate degree in sociology from Southampton University (England), and his accounting certifications in London and New York.

Karen Fondu, President, L’Oréal Paris

Karen T. Fondu was named President, L’Oreal Paris in July of 2008.

Since joining L’Oreal USA in 1979, Ms. Fondu has held various management positions in virtually all segments of the L'Oréal Consumer Products Group beauty care business. She was with the L'Oréal Hair Care Division in its early years, and in 1992 was appointed V.P. Sales of L'Oréal Cosmetics. As such, she played an integral role in establishing L'Oréal as a major player in the cosmetics industry, which also included the launch of the Plenitude Skin Care line.

In 1996, Ms. Fondu was appointed Senior Vice President, Sales of Maybelline following the acquisition by L'Oréal and was a key member of the management team that brought Maybelline to the #1 position in the Mass Cosmetics arena.

Appointed to General Manager in 2001, Karen was given the added responsibility of establishing the Garnier brand in the U.S. Market, which is today a household name in the U.S. Appointed to President of Maybelline New York • Garnier in 2003.

Her contributions to L’Oreal USA represent a major success story that has spanned two decades.

Barry Gilmore, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Barry Gilmore was appointed Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer in July, 2004. He is responsible for IT strategy, program execution and system operations across L’Oréal USA. This includes direct management of IT infrastructure, technology architecture, back-office and front-office applications and program management office.

Mr. Gilmore reports directly to the President and CEO of L’Oréal USA and is a member of the company’s Strategic and Executive Management Committees. He oversees and coordinates L’Oréal USA’s IT governance bodies with business executives from all operating groups.

Mr. Gilmore joined L’Oréal in 2000 as Vice President of IT for L’Oréal Paris, and was promoted to Vice President of IT for L’Oréal’s Consumer Products division in 2002. Two years later, he was promoted to CIO for L’Oreal USA.

Prior to joining L’Oréal, Mr. Gilmore was Director of IT for the America’s for Merial Ltd., the world’s largest animal health company, and previously Director of IT for Merck & Co., a world-leading pharmaceutical company. He has more than 20 years of IT experience in a variety of capacities and holds a Masters of Engineering Degree from the Pennsylvania State University.

David Greenberg, President, Maybelline New York – Garnier – Essie Cosmetics

Mr. Greenberg joined L'Oréal in 1993 in the L'Oréal Paris (then L'Oréal Haircare) Division as a marketing manager on Studio Line. Mr. Greenberg then held various roles before becoming Vice President of marketing for haircolorants and haircare. During this time, he developed and launched Feria haircolor which helped L'Oréal take leadership in the category.

In 1999, Mr. Greenberg became General Manager, Consumer Products Division, at L'Oréal Mexico. There Mr. Greenberg launched Garnier colorants, skincare and haircare, increasing the business dramatically over four years.

Mr. Greenberg returned to New York at the end of 2003 to become Worldwide General Manager of Matrix in the Professional Products Division. While there, Mr. Greenberg launched Matrix into over 20 countries, including China & the Middle East.

At the end of 2004, Mr. Greenberg became SVP Human Resources for L'Oréal USA. He was named President of Maybelline New York-Garnier in July of 2008. Mr. Greenberg was given responsibility of Essie Cosmetics in 2010.

David Greenberg holds an MBA from NYU Stern and a BA from Lehigh University.

Marie Gulin, Chief Marketing Officer

Marie Gulin was named Chief Marketing Officer for L’Oréal USA effective June 1, 2014. Marie Gulin brings over 15 year of progressive experience in managing communications and digital strategies for fast-moving consumer goods and beauty luxury brands, most recently, as Global Head of Integrated Marketing Communications for L’Oréal Paris. Having served in this position since 2010, Marie was responsible for content and services development, digital platforms, sponsorships, as well as PR and events across 60 countries in 8 strategic regions, while ensuring brand consistency across all communications channels. She successfully reinvented integrated communications for L’Oréal Paris and through her strategic leadership in the digital space, overhauled the content strategy for the brand’s product innovations, and modernized major events like L’Oréal Paris’ involvement in the Cannes Film Festival.

Carol Hamilton, President, Luxury Products Division

Carol J. Hamilton was appointed President of the Luxury Products Division in July of 2008.

Ms. Hamilton joined L'Oréal USA in 1984 as Director of Marketing for the former L'Oréal Cosmetics Division. She subsequently worked in the L'Oréal Hair Care division as Vice President of Marketing, then Senior Vice President.

In 1996, Ms. Hamilton became Senior Vice President/General Manager of Marketing for L'Oréal Consumer Products which merged the Hair Care and Cosmetics divisions.

As General Manager, Ms. Hamilton assumed responsibility for all functions of L'Oréal Consumer Products marketing, manufacturing, sales, finance and administration. Under her leadership, the L'Oréal Paris beauty brand has became the largest beauty brand in the USA, and L'Oréal haircolor has become the number one manufacturer, ahead of Clairol. She was named President, L'Oréal Paris in 2002.

She has an undergraduate degree from Vassar College.

Sarah Hibberson, Senior Vice President, Human Resources

In September 2008, Sarah Hibberson was named Senior Vice President of Human Resources for L’Oréal USA.

Ms. Hibberson oversees all Human Resources strategy and functions for L’Oreal USA including: Talent Recruitment and Development, Learning for Development, HR Planning & Operations, and Total Rewards. In addition, she is responsible for all HR activities as they pertain to L’Oréal USA’s portfolio of brands which include: L’Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York/Garnier/essie, Soft-Sheen Carson, Lancôme, Giorgio Armani Beauty, Yves Saint Laurent, Kiehl’s Since 1851, Ralph Lauren Fragrances, Diesel, Viktor & Rolf, Clarisonic, Cacharel, Vichy, SkinCeuticals, La Roche-Posay, Redken, Kerastase, Matrix, L’Oréal Professionnel and Urban Decay.

With 25 years of experience in the Human Resources field, Ms. Hibberson is well suited for this role. She started her career at L’Oréal USA as a Human Resources Manager in the Operations function in Clark, New Jersey. From there she held a succession of positions before being appointed Vice President of Human Resources for Lancôme. In 2001, Ms. Hibberson was named Vice President of Maybelline and Garnier and two years later moved to the L’Oréal Paris Division where she held the same position. In January 2004, Ms. Hibberson was promoted to Vice President for the entire Consumer Products Division and in September 2008 was promoted to her current role.

Ms. Hibberson graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.

Michael Larrain, President, Active Cosmetics

Michael Larrain is a strategic business executive with 20 years of award-winning success within orthodontics, medical devices, esthetic dentistry, professional skincare, medical esthetics and beauty. Accomplishments include strategically defining and leading very substantial growth in revenues and profits, new product and service innovation, strategic alliance creation, acquisitions, financial control management, organizational change, global team development, and operations.

From 1995 – 2001, Mr. Larrain quickly transitioned through a series of roles with Sybron/Ormco, the largest global orthodontic device company. His tenure included positions as a Business Consultant, Sales Trainer, Sales Manager and Global Product Manager. From 2001 – 2002, Mr. Larrain served with the medical device manufacturer, Boston Scientific – driving minimally invasive medical procedures with Microvasive Endoscopy.

From 2003 - 2008, Mr. Larrain was a member of the Core Executive Team with Discus Dental and responsible for this rapidly growing and entrepreneurial medical device manufacturer through his role as North American Vice President. Driving fast and significant organic growth of this company, he was able to lead corporate strategic planning, sales effectiveness, quality initiatives, product development, operational efficiencies and rapid change management.

From 2008 – 2011, Mr. Larrain served as Vice President Sales for Dermalogica. Where he was responsible for the professional skincare market growth for the US and the evolution of their business model.

Most recently, Mr. Larrain joined SkinCeuticals as the Vice President of Sales for six months, then the US General Manager and most recently into his current role as President of Active Cosmetics Division.

Mr. Larrain is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and is a graduate of CA State Fullerton in California.

Alexandre Pagliano, Chief Financial Officer

Alexandre Pagliano was appointed Chief Financial Officer for L’Oréal USA in September, 2010.

Prior to coming to L’Oréal, Mr. Pagliano spent time in Brazil where he held positions at Banco Fator SA, Mesbla Department Stores and Banco Nacional/Unibanco. He joined L’Oréal in 1997 as Finance Director for L’Oréal Consumer Products Division, Brazil.

Mr. Pagliano has served in Europe as Finance Director for the Consumer Goods Division in France, and as CFO for the Consumer Division in Western Europe. Prior to joining the US Operations, Mr. Pagliano was the World Wide CFO for L’Oréal Active Cosmetics Division, the dermo cosmetics business of L’Oréal.

Mr. Pagliano received his undergraduate degree in economics from the American Presbiterian College – Mackenzie University in Sao Paulo, and his Master of Business Administration from IBMEC Business School in Rio de Janeiro.

Mr. Pagliano was recently named Chief Financial Officer for L’Oréal Americas where he reports directly to the President and CEO of L’Oréal Americas.

Patrick T. Parenty, President Professional Products Division and SalonCentric

Patrick T. Parenty was named President Professional Products Division and SalonCentric in 2010.

Mr. Parenty graduated with a B.A. in Business Management from Moravian College in Bethlehem, P.A. in 1980.

He joined L’Oreal USA’s Professional Products Division as Vice President, Sales for Redken in January 1997. He became Vice President, General Manager for Redken in 2000 and Senior Vice President, General Manager in 2002. Under his leadership, Redken had double-digit sales and profit growth as the company evolved its original DNA of innovative technology and strong education to create an inclusive culture that attracted salon stylists throughout the U.S. market.

In 2009, he moved into a new role as President U.S. Brands, L’Oréal Professional Products Division overseeing the U.S. business for Redken, Pureology, Matrix, L’Oréal Professionnel, Mizani, Kérastase, Shu Uemura Art of Hair, L’Oréal Technique and Essie Cosmetics.

Prior to joining L’Oréal USA, Mr. Parenty worked at Minneapolis-based Lamaur Inc., where he held several positions in sales and marketing and in 1988 was promoted to VP of the Company’s Salon Division.

Kristina Schake, Chief Communications Officer

Kristina Schake joined L’Oréal USA in the newly-created role of Chief Communications Officer in July 2013. Reporting directly to CEO Frédéric Rozé, Ms. Schake is responsible for protecting and building L’Oréal’s reputation in the U.S. by increasing the visibility of its innovation, scientific expertise, business and brands, leadership and social contributions. Ms. Schake directs the company’s communications strategy, overseeing all internal and external communications functions as well as its public affairs, strategic initiatives and philanthropic programs. As part of this role, Ms. Schake works closely with the company’s 28 leading beauty brands, across all divisions, to advance and communicate the organization’s “beauty for all” mission and its 2020 global sustainability commitments known as “Sharing Beauty With All.”

Prior to joining L’Oreal USA, Ms. Schake served in The White House as Special Assistant to President Obama and Communications Director to First Lady Michelle Obama. She was also co-founder and principal of Griffin|Schake, a California-based public affairs and strategic communications firm that specialized in helping civic leaders, major foundations and non-profit organizations bring about critical social change through policy, legislative, social marketing and media initiatives. Additionally, Ms. Schake was a founding board member of the American Foundation for Equal Rights, the sole sponsor of the federal court challenge to California’s Proposition 8. The historic Supreme Court case restored marriage equality to California in June 2013.

A native of California, Ms. Schake is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and currently lives in New York City.

Xavier Windal, Senior Vice President, Operations

Xavier Windal was appointed Senior Vice President Corporate Operations for North America in 2013. Xavier has been with the L'Oréal group for almost 28 years and has held a variety of positions. He started in 1985 as Logistics Manager in the Soprocos Plant in France. In 1990, he was promoted as Plant Director for Faprogi - the Garnier plant in France. In 1997, he became plant manager for the Luxe plant in Sicos. In 1999, he was promoted to Operations Director for Lancôme International. In 2002, Xavier came back to CPD as Operations Director L'Oreal European zone. Most recently, Xavier was in charge of Operations for all CPD.

Xavier has had a very successful career and has been a key actor in the transformation and evolution of our manufacturing models. Under Xavier's leadership, the CPD plants in Europe were reorganized by production technology. Thanks to the implementation of manufacturing performance tools, the plants' productivity improved significantly as did the quality and safety levels. Xavier was also one of the first to demonstrate the necessity for development and packaging to work very closely with the business. He has been at the forefront of many manufacturing initiatives including the opening of our first "green" plant in Libramont and our first "wall to wall" to manufacture our bottles in-house.

Xavier has great people leadership skills. While demanding in terms of results, he is a team-player and a people developer.
