SkinCeuticals Boutique

Founded in 1997, SkinCeuticals develops innovative dermatology products designed to combat signs of aging and help prevent serious skin conditions. Born from decades of skin cancer research that led to pivotal breakthroughs in antioxidants, SkinCeuticals high potency formulas are concentrated in pure actives and proven to penetrate optimally into skin.

Early in its history, SkinCeuticals, led by Dr. Sheldon R. Pinnell**, helped pioneer the advent of cosmeceuticals with the original topical vitamin C formula that protects skin from premature signs of aging caused by environmental damage. SkinCeuticals continues to lead the industry in clinical research and scientific evidence. It has formed networks with top scientists from the fields of cellular and molecular biology, chemistry, biophysics, and medicine. Through these multidisciplinary relationships, SkinCeuticals is able to collaborate with the international medical community to deepen its knowledge of the processes of photoaging and other skin conditions.

Made in the USA, SkinCeuticals clinical skincare is used by dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and medi-spas for daily homecare and to complement aesthetic procedures. Formulated to correct signs of aging, protect healthy skin, and prevent future damage, SkinCeuticals provides complete skincare solutions through skincare professionals in over 35 countries worldwide.

**As SkinCeuticals founding scientist and chief medical advisor, Dr. Sheldon R. Pinnell established SkinCeuticals as the skincare industry's antioxidant authority. A distinguished member of the Duke University Medical School faculty for almost 40 years, Dr. Pinnell was a professor of dermatology, held the title of J. Lamar Callaway Professor Emeritus of Dermatology, and also served as Chief of Dermatology at Duke University Medical Center for 15 years. At Duke, he trained physicians from the United States and abroad both as dermatologists and research scientists.

With almost four decades of experience in skin cancer, skin disease, and skin aging research, Dr. Pinnell has published more than 200 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals on dermatology topics such as photoaging, collagen synthesis, UV protection, topical vitamin C, and other antioxidants. Dr. Pinnell also authored approximately 20 book chapters and holds eight patents.

Over his lifetime, he also received numerous medical and scientific awards including The Best Doctors in America, The International Who’s Who in Medicine, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in America.
